Its been hotter than the hubs of Heii around here, 86-94deg for weeks on end, and 75 degree nights. This morning 45 degrees at the farm at 6:30am. BRRRRRRR...The cows looked at me like I was nuts and were grunting in dismay as I kicked them out of the barn this morning...The barn swallows already packed up and headed south, trees starting to show color (early), garden is done tomatoes, witnter squash and pumpkins are coming in (very Early). Some corn and beans ready to harvest, guy showed me some of his corn the other day ago 20% moisture and the cob was very dry (extremly early).

What is it doing in your area?

Really nice weekend here. The Hurricane sucked away all the bad weather, mid 80's and no himidity. Can't speak about winter,,, it has been a hot summer! I suspect there is more 90's to come.

Mid Manitoba about 42* at night and 70* in the day. rain for the past week and forcst says nothing but rain for the next week(realy sucks because my flax is all down waiting for the sun)

Other than that it feels and looks like winters coming fast.Trees are just starting to turn a little coler pumpkins are turning orange already, seams early to me usually theres alot still green at halloween.Even the late seeded Oats are combined.

Except for the taxes, insurance premiums and January, winter is better. I hate hot weather and bugs. Wisconsin

Hi camju: You have flax? Could you post a few pictures of it in full bloom some time? Last big flax field I saw in bloom was in Western ND a few decades ago. Sure looked nice for a change of pace.. Thanks.. ag.

What you said, altho if I was gonna get rid of a month, I'd keep January and get rid of February.

Personally, I'd like it to be September through about mid-December all year. A week or so of snow just to remind me, and then back to September 1st...

Apparently we had frost here last night......we were away in Wisconsin picking up a horse. It's in the forecast for tonight too......it's awful cold out there right now......85 deg. 2 weeks ago and now this! It's 50 out right now.

it seems like stuff is early here in nw il too.
high today in 60s tomorrow lower 70s temps are to be back to normal next week.
lots of corn has been cut for silage about 2 weeks ahead i'm thinking.
corn and beans are changing color fast.
