It's pouring! Should I still be snoring?

I commented a few days ago about the chances of rain here in southern MO. Wonderful!!! We've had a long, slow rain all morning, with times when it lets up and there is time for the water to soak into the ground. I'm loving it!

Just think you might get another cutting of hay but then you know how it is in misery now that it has started raining it will not stop till it gets to cold to do hay LOL
 
Well as of 30 minutes ago we have had 3 inches in less then 12 hours. Now it is getting to the point that if it keep this up I'll have to pull one of the boats out and paddle to town. LOL
 
just in time too! We got an inch last night and another half this morning in a nice slow drizzle. Might just fill out all those empty bean pods, and bring on a little fall grass for the ole cows!
 
Rain, whats that? Before turning the calendar page to September I looked back to July to check the rainfall and we had 1 and 1/4 inches for each of the last two months. Think I'll have plenty space for the incoming corn crop.
Was at the bloodmobile yesterday and one woman said her husband had started shelling corn with about 30 bushels an acre. Hope it gets better.
