How hot was it?

August was very hot and dry here. Had 19+ consecutive days of over 100+. Many mornings it was still in the 80's.

Heard on the news this morning that we set an all time record for the highest "lows".

Got a chance of rain tomorrow. We really need it. I've got 2 of my horses here in Dallas and started feeding hay yesterday. I usually don't start feeding hay until late October.

Guess I need to go wash my truck tonight. If I do, it'll rain for sure.

Currently raining hard here.
(About 550 miles straight north of you)

Here in Missouri the average number of days over 90 is 37 but this year we have had 52 days that where 90 plus and may have a few more before it is all said and done for this summer. Today it is cool and wet sure did need to rain so maybe just maybe I'll have a 2nd cutting of hay

Same here. Too hot for tomatoes.
I least we don't have to listen to all those comments making fun of global warming------until the first cold day in winter. then they will be back.

Even though the streak of 100+ is over, we"re still in the mid 90"s. Got a front coming through and temp Friday is only upper 80"s.

Weather.com says 40% chance of rain today and 60% on Friday. Hoping they"re right.

Had about the same here, from mid July to today we had only half an inch of rain with many 104-106 degree days and lots of high 90's. Last night it rained an inch so I may have some fall grass after all, I started feeding hay on Sunday as the cows are calving and the pastures were getting sparse. Feeling for those of you without the moisture.

Its been hot allover this summer, but I think thats somewhat misleading. The Official weather station for Louisville Ky is at Standiford Field. At the time it was established there the airport was at the edge of the city. Now there is a six lane expressway on the north adjacent to the airport, interstate 65 on the east, and a UPS hub on the south side. There are tens of thousands of gallons of jet fuel burned there every day, besides the heat from acres of parking lots nearby. Their morning lows have been ten or more degrees higher than nearby rural areas. I believe that is the reason there is the claim of global warming from so many of the sky is falling people.

I'll be going up to the lake this weekend. Probably leave early Sat morning and come home Sunday night.
So was looking a the forecast for up there and decieded I should bring a light jacket along.
First time I've had to do so since late May.
