just got my 1959 TO35 running and there is oil coming fom a hole that faces towards the front of the tractor. the hole is just behind the fuel pump where the engine bolts to the trans.it is a standard 23c diesel
 
Make sure there is a nice "clean" cotter pin that moves freely in the hole under the bellhousing. This is necessary to let any seepage/leakage from the engine rear main seal and/or the transmission input shaft seals escape, instead of accumulating in there, slinging out wherever it can, and causing clutch problems.
