JD Offset disc ID?

Hi, A friend of mine gave me his old 12' John Deere disc. I'd like to get a manual or parts list for it so I can fix it up, but I can't find this model number anywhere. Does anyone recognize it? It's got 18" discs and is about 12' wide.

I'd like to see how the disc gangs come apart so I can replace the bearings.

Thanks for any advice,

Troy Boyd

Have you called DEERE Techpubs @ 1-800-522-7448?

One would HOPE they could identify it!

you take the 1/2 inch carriage bolts out of the bearing holders then drop the gang out. remove the nut from the end of the shaft and take it apart

Troy, the disk itself and the tag both confirm it but you have a model 100 disk. It was introduces as part of the "Level Action" family in 1974. It should be very easy to get parts for. All gang parts should be the same as a 110 or 111 disk. Mike

looks like the "Helpful" responders identified it for him! dont always have to call a 1-800-whatever number. bill m.

Thanks for the replies, I did find it. It's called a 100 Integral Disk. I got the Parts images and list so I should be good to go.

Thanks again!

Yep, I guess calling a toll-free number would be quite an expense AND an inconvenience!

why spend the money on a manual if all you need is a model identifacation? john deere web site will give you the parts manual download for free.I personally would order a operators manual for all of the service specs but thats me.Bill M.

I DID NOT tell him to spend money. I suggested he make a FREE phone call to find out what he had and what manuals he needed.

OBVIOUSLY, he could then view the parts catalog for FREE at jdparts.com, and decide whether or not to spend the money for an operator's manual.

you mean you can call 1-800-522-7448 and they will identify you piece of equipment? I did not know that! looks like he went to the manual section of JD.Com and got the info he needed. bill m.
