Would anyone have a use for a...?

Hey guys,

I know this is a long way out there, but would anyone have a use for a blown out 30.5x32 combine tire?

I happen to have one, so I figured if anyone had a use for it, this would be the place to ask... I've seen a few large tires turned into scrapers for barnyards, but I doubt it'd work well for snow, so that use isn't too good to me.. and I don't have livestock, so I have no need to make a feeder for myself.

OR.. if someone had a good idea what I could possibly do with it. (and before I get the "sandbox" answer.. lil boy already has a tractor tire sandbox LOL)

Anyone have a use for it? If so, it's free for the taking (I'd even load it, or if you're close I could possibly bring it to you.. BUT I'm not desperate enough to pay someone to take it.. just yet lol)

Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any interest, or ideas on what I could use it for.

that would make a helluva 'tater planter...i grow my new potatoes in hay...set a layer of seed stock...cover with a lil dirt and hay...everytime greens poke thru i cover em up till i reach top of planter...when it comes time to harvest just run your hands thru the hay and grab em.

if thats not your idea of a use,how about a location so folks know where it is.

If it could be revulcanized in the sidewall etc and fixed it could probably be used again w/tube boots etc. They bring from 1600 for a cheap one new to 2400 EACH. If it was your combine, you know what they cost. I wouldnt junk it if you still have a need or know anyone else that does. THEY ARE HIGH$.

When I was in Romania, I saw a tractor tire that had an eight inch gash that had been stitched up with some kind of a nylon twine. The "repair" didn't even bulge. I have no idea if there was a boot behind it.

we have a big flotation tire and rim that has been drifting down the creek the past couple years. either off a combine or grain cart. i'll have to see where its at and get a size an pic. no body has claimed it. right now its in my neighbors timber to the north of me. its free for the hauling.

I cut the side wall bigger on one side and use it for planting garden veges. My warden and I are just gettin to the age that we dont want to bend as far as we used to. This seems to really work for berries and beats and other non viney items. Less weeds as well. Hope you find a use for it.

I had 6 tractor tires to get rid of. Put them on craig's list. Free sand boxes. The first guy took all of them. Put them in yard for his kid to climb on. I could have gotten rid of many more.

Sorry.. My location is SE Lower MI (Monroe County).. Forgot that it shows in modern view, not so much in classic.

If it hadn't broke the bead to boot, I would take to stitching it up.

I was thinking about a "raised garden" out of it myself, but I figured I'd offer it up first, as maybe someone would have more of a use for it.. (I've seen a lot of things done with old tires in farm show magazine.. )

As for a jungle gym.. I have a few 12/ 13.6/ 14.9x 38 tires for that.. when little man is a little bigger (he's not quite 2 years yet.. so we got a little time there)

I could make a tire swing out of it.. LOL.. but the tire is bigger than the tree in the yard, so that's out.

As for the cost of new.. Yea, our manure tanks at work roll on "diamond tread" 30.5 r 32's.. they just bought one.. $3600. I got a replacement cheap.. How long it will last who knows.. but it was priced right.

I wish I had a source for them like that.....been looking and looking. Tire places want 700 for a carcass with absolutely no tread left.
