O/T I thought it was a good idea

I replaced one of the toilets in my bothroom. While it was off I thought it would be a good idea to run my pressure washer down the main line to clean it. I put the nozzle on the end of the hose, and pushed it down the line. Started the washer, and pulled it back out. Later on my wife asked me why there was water all over the other bathroom. I didn't say much. All I could think was the line came up through the other toilet into the room.Stan

Reminds me once of when I was in the USMC and was on the USS Iwo Jima a large troop/helo transport ship. I was visiting the throne, we were in rough seas and the ship took a pretty hard lean. I heard something banging under me in the plumbing and the toilet I was inhabiting belched a nasty brown brew all over me, the stall and even the ceiling. I never really found out what happened....but I got a clean uniform and a long shower arranged in short order. Just one of those s--tty deals life deals you.

". . .run my pressure washer down the main line. . ."- that's one of those "what could possibly go wrong" situations.

Reminds me of one of the classic opening lines of a personal injury lawsuit: "Plaintiff was operating a punch press. . ."

Glad all you got was a little extra water splashed around. I had visions of joints separating, etc.

A good friend sent his plumbing crew to another one of my friends house to roto the drain.

They were ususaly pretty good ol boys when it came to smarts and all. While they were in the basment, they heard the darndest racket upstairs. The floor around the thunder mug was rotten, and the racket was the thunder mug a spining around the bathroom. Funny, but expensive. They wished they could have watched it, as the boss wasn't happy anyway. I wonder how many RPM's it was a going?

LOL! Handyman magazine had a section called "great goofs"where readers would tell of their misadventures. One of them told of the time he went to snake an upstairs drain line that was real slow... He had a pretty long snake and it kept going 'til he finally met some real resistance and he finally couldn't turn it at all. When he went outside he found out why---the snake had come out the roof vent stack, fell to the ground and finally grabbed onto his neighbor's rose bushes----dang!
