Crops for Acidic Soil

I've been offered 180 acres of land on lease that has been laying fallow this year. It last grew soybeans, but the previous leaser said the soil is really acidic and needs lime to the tune of 6 tonne/acre according to soil tests.

The price is very cheap. I thought of trying some oats and hay on it, but I'm not sure how well they would do in low ph soil -- I don't know the exact ph, just that it was obviously too low for corn or beans.

If it helps, all the fields grew up thick in weeds this season so there is growing capability there. Whether I can grow anything decent, who knows. Anyone here know much about what can and can't grow well in acidic soils?

How cheap? If you plant soybeans and spent $40 an acre on lime and got a 5-8 bushel per acre yield increase it could pay for itself. In a few years the soil would be restored instead of being mined.
