1135 Massey Starting problems

Finished baling hay this afternoon in high heat and after shutting down to talk to the land lord, the tractor had no power at the switch, so being myself, I tried to jump the starter selonoid, and the starter did not engage, simply your typical whirling. Batteries tested fine on the meter. Any ideas as to the problem?

Did you jumper the solenoid correctly? You should go from the battery terminal to the small post with the wire on it. It sounds like you may have jumped it between the battery and the motor terminal, next to the starter body.
I'm not that familiar with the bigger Massey's, but my Dad's 135 had a neutral switch on the range box that failed more than once. When that happened, he would just jumper across that switch till he could get a new safety switch. HTH
Good Luck and God Bless
