Went to a sale yesterday a couple of farms over. There was a 1086 sold with 5900 actual hours, ona scale of 1 to 10 ,it would be a 9, cab, heat and air, everything worked and ran like new. It sold for 12100 dollars. I didn't have any need for it but it seems someone got a great bargain. Oh, the tires were 80% and it had duals too. Any comments.

when you climb in those backwards doors or run the shift levers up your hind end climbing in the cab or try to see the drawbar when hooking something up you will think it was way too much! Great engine with nothing to go with it.

Sounds like it sold pretty good. In my area an 886 in that condition would go $14000 without to much trouble. An exceptional 1486 or 1586 will also go that high - but it would have to be a really good unit. The 1086's just don't seem to bring as much as either because it can't (shouldn't) do the job of the big tractors and uses more fuel than the smaller ones.
