Applying Rubber to Full Steel Wheels

I am restoring my McCormick-Deering 22-36 and have decided to put rubber on my full steel wheels, rather than return the wheels to spade lugs and skid rings.
I am attaching am image of my newly-painted wheel and images of how various persons have applied their rubber.
I am asking this:
Where is the source of the rubber material? I would imagine I would go to a tire shop and inquire and perhaps to a shop that does retreads.
Any help or advice is welcomed.
Also, do any of you have any estimate of cost?

I put rubber on my Farmall Reg. and where I got the rubber was from a tire retreading company. It's thick enough and very flat. You will need the rubber for a wider tire. Maybe even for truck tires. Good Luck.

Isn't most of what you have pictured the tread cut out of old (tho pretty good treaded yet) truck tires, bolted on with stove-headed bolts?

The 2nd from bottom looks like baler belting cut to match the width.

If you want the newer tractor tread pattern, get some blemished or side-wall punctured tires and cut the sidewalls off as in the one picture.

Would think more time than money involved in such a project?

I plan on using the tread off of 36 in tires I took off of our Farmall SC for my McCormick 10-20. Tread is like new, side walls failed. I am going to use elevator bolts to attach tread to the steel rims of the 10-20. Will look like 2nd picture. HTH

i used elevator belting because it had no tread. they have wide widths..cut it to the size i wanted.. used elevator bolts to fasten to the rim....pg

nice job on the wheels. I like the look of the ones in photo #2.
What is an elevator bolt?
Never heard that term.

They have a thin round flat head, with a bit of a square shoulder on the bottom to grip the tread. They are used to bolt grain leg elevator cups onto the elevator belting and not stick out on the back side. Basically what you see in the pictures.

Kinda sorta the same as what the old generation called 'stove bolts'.

Do a Google search for elevator bolts, you will find several pictures and description of elevator bolts..HTH
