Case self-propelled small square blaer

Years ago I was at a family reunion in mid-michigan and my relative had a case self-propelled small sqaure baler. I always thought it was neat because self-propelled square balers are REALLY rare around here. I didnt get the model and was wondering if anyone had an idea of what it might have been. He didnt have it running because it neded a clutch and said he was having troubles finding one. Really curious as to what model it was and when it was made. I'm a IH guy but thinkin that Case would be a neat show piece.

Don't remember Case ever having a self propelled baler, but Case was not very common in my area. New Holland did make a self propelled, model 166 though. A gentleman in a nearby club has a 166 and shows it at nearby shows. It is powered by two Wisconsin, two cylinder engines, one for the baler, and one for propulsion. Its a pretty unique little baler.

I've never seen one but always wanted to see one. This is a picture of one from a Case photo archive book by P.A. Letourneau. I'd bet there are not many around.

Ferguson or ford had one that bolted to the tractor like the picture by jay eye. Case also made self propeeled haybines powered by wisconsin and possibly a baler like the new holland one.

Believe this was only prototype that existed ,,Just does not look practical at All to Me ... From My CHAIR, And KNOWING the ambitous SPIRIT of the VAC , Case Would Had been as well off to use the VAC base tractor and put a splitter in the tranny giving it 8 gears! ,, Then I THINK CASE Could have had something MARKETABLE ... But thats just my thoughts ..
