I just had the pto quit working on my 756 farmall. The remotes work as well as the power steering. I quit working when the round baler I was pulling started sheering pins as it was binding in the chamber,thats another question. Any quick fxes before I start ripping things apart. Thanks for any help.

The PTO is self-contained and is not dependant on the other hydraulics.

Probably fried the clutch pack.

Get the frontend down low and the rearend up high so the oil dont run out or drain the oil . Then pull the unit , it is heavy so have some help and a place to put it right away . You can change the clutch pack but I think you need special tools to go all the way in but the clutch pack will most likly fix it . There is a oil tube that runs down into the belly so kinda roll the unit down as you pull it out . If the clutches are not gone head to the dealer with it or other IH mech.

Thanks guys. I"m remote in Alaska so I"m on my own. Wish me luck and or one of you experts can come up moose hunting and fix my tractor! My farm backs up into the Minto flats moose refuge.
