Shipping questions

Question 1
Can anyone tell me the best low cost way of shipping small parts internationally. I found a salvage yard today in Idaho who has several small tractor parts which I may try to ship back to Scotland, my part of the suitcases are already full and my wife says I am getting no more space.
Question 2
For larger parts such as fenders what would be the best way of getting them to Toronto in Canada.
Thanks
Bill

Small stuff. When going to europe, Hands down the United States Postal service. yes UPS and Fed Ex have international service but they charge a arm and a leg for it.

Only problem I ever had with USPS is I had a guy say it never came. Course he also wanted me to lie on the customs form and his rep on ebay was questionable also.

As to the larger items I am really not alot of help but look into LTL carriers. They usually have a way to get things there. Just prepare to open up your wallet.

Nother idea is to look at the "Hauling Schedule" on the left side of this very page.

Hey Bill,
you might try Schenker or DHL. UPS will eat you up. USPS will also ship international but could be pricey. You could send USPS to me for domestic prices (to NY) but I don't know what the cost would be for me to ship to Scotland from Germany.

hanks for all the advice, just checked out the flat rate packages using USPS today so that give a good idea for shipping home smaller parts direct to Scotland. I need to look further at the options for going from the US to Canada with the larger items.
