HAVE A 656 INT TRANNY LIKE TO STICK IN TWO GEARS WHEN SHIFTING FROM 4TH TO THIRD OR FIFTH TO THIRD LOOKED AT LINKAGE SEEMS TO BE OK ?

common problem

Adjusting the turnbuckles behind the batteries helps a lot.

I also shimmed the linkage behind the battery with some washers to tighten up the linkage. This was for the shaft at the pivot point.

You try to get it the best you can as the fix is all new parts $$$. Got mint to work fairly well and only a very very occasional double gear. Generally when I was shifting fast. Rev to 1, 2 to 3 and 4 to 5 are never a problem - 3 to 4, 1 to 2etc and back you'll have to be careful.

LOVE IT FOR A LOADER TRACTOR GREAT BALANCE FOR MOVING SNOW AND BALES.
WILL TRY THE SHIMMING AND SEE IF THAT HELPS 3-4 4-3 ARE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM SEEMS TO CATCH 5 ON THE WAY OVER TO 3RD
