OT - Posting Question

Posted a reply to greenmachineman's pictures of his JDs but did not intend to jump ahead of the other posters on the thread. I mean't to add to the bottom reply....

How do I do that? It also seems to take 3-4 screens to get back to the original post in the theread....

You did it exactly right. We all understand how this thing seems backwards. You can tag it onto the last post at the bottom but that is usually how you comment on the post you tag onto. Now i'm starting to get confused.There is no correct way to do it.

This site will place the newest message closest to the top in the list of replies.

Works ok once you get used to it.

If you wanted to reply to message number 4 there, then have that message open, and your reply will step to the right and be posted below message #4.

Otherwise, if you are reading the whole thread with the original message open & just hit reply, your message will be the newest one below the very first message of the thread.

There are a couple different ways of looking at messages here, old way, modern way, nested, not nested, etc. It might seem quite jumbled up - and is in a way, but if you explore around, they have options that will fit your way of thinking & it will make sense to your perspective.

I'm an old timer & I like the old way, so I haven't explored too much.
