Kubota TG1860 hydro transmission.

This unit not serviceable such as being able to check or add fluid.

Anyone know of a place that can service or rebuild these units?

Are you saying they dont have a way to check the fluid level?That gives new meaning to"maintanace free".Herr's machine,Washington,KS.

I assume it is a lawn tractor. You should be able to find out who manufactures the transmission. It won't be Kubota. Most lawn tractor tansmissions are sealed. Only Hydrogear transmissions are servicable. Most are "through away". Go to the lawn tractor forum on this site.

There has to be some way to add fluid. How did they get it in at the factory. Things leak, oil breaks down. I sure would never buy something you couldn't service.

It might be filled with Bentonite Grease. That doesn't need changing and doesn't leak out.

Ooops didn't see it was a hydro....won't be bentonite then.
