Don't you hate it when a Company doesn't have a web site....

Spent the last 10 minutes trying to find the website for Rears Manufacturing. In this day and age why wouldn"t a company have a web site? Doesn"t have to be much, at least a list of distributors and products.

When I need parts, the web is the first place I go.

grr. Frustrating.

Sorry for the rant., the internet is a wonderful tool, Just wish more companys would make use of it.
 
Some products aren"t on internet under name you would expect but show up under a holding/parent company name. Sometimes expected name has been already taken. Think of PETA site and venison recipes. Other companies run by computer illiterates-- some are run by very computer literate people who want to avoid spam/scams. Then there are Amish suppliers who figure most of their customers don"t use PCs and internet. (little teasing here- Lehmans got online catalog couple years back supposedly)
 
Not to mention . . . when you put in the name or product . . . you get 98785967 hits in 0.29 seconds and 99% are not even close, just a word here and there and not a chance in h&ll you would look at their ad and less you would buy anything.

There must be a computer program that auto sticks your word - words in their blog.

ANNOYING to say the least.
 
Even worse is when a company has a website, but doesn't respond to email. To me that's like them not answering the phone.
 
seems like 90% of the big companies are like that. I don't know why they bother to have a website unless they want to irritate their cusotmers more than they usually do.
 
By the way, I just did a Bing search for "farmall parts" and my site comes up #6. Not bad for an old man that does his own website?
 
Of those search results, none of them are the official Rears Manufacturing Company home page. They are all other companys that sell rears equipment.
 
I just talked to Rears manufacturing on the phone. They do not have a website, but were easy to get hold of on the phone. The individual I talked to was most interested in talking to you via the land line.HTH
