What is the difference in a case 1170,and 1175.thanks

The main difference is that the 1175 has a manual transmission and out board planetaries. The 1170 had the more common three speed power shift in four ranges. There maybe more differences but these are the main two.

Both tractors have eight speed trans and outboard plantaries. 1170 has external brakes maybe early 1175 has also. 1170 has a heavier front end and the drawbar is heavier. Our 1170s have no foot throttle but the 1175s I have seen do. Both tough tractors.

The 1170 was only made for two years, i think. the 1175 is newer and lighter with 6-bolt front wheels and a fiberglass grill. Both tractors were only available with the 8-speed dual-range transmission. Dale
