Older PTO's

I have an older bush hog made by Pittsburg. The pto has a button that you push in to unhook it from the tractor shaft. Is ther anyone that sells the replacement button kit for the old ones? All of the dealers here have kits for the metric ones.

Most any good farm and home should have them. Also a GOOD tractor dealer should have them but note I said good.
Now then what is wrong with the one you have??? I have taken them apart and greased/cleaned them up and they then work well again for years

Patience, penetrating oil and some judicial tapping usually works good. Took almost 2 weeks to get a PTO off my drum mower.
Just douse them good and leave them a couple days then give another shot and try them.

Also helps if after you get it off you check clean and remove any burrs from both the inside of the coupler and the PTO shaft its self. And then put a thin coat of grease on both

Well I guess at some point in time the little clip that holds it from coming all the way out, fell off. For now I just put a pin through the hole in the center. I could use three if I could find them. They do work good when they are lubed up.

There are several different kinds and lengths of those things. Be sure you get the right one.
