IMCO bush hog

I have a 1976 IMCO 5 foot bush hog rotary mower which I am considering selling. Where can I find out a fair "book value" for this implement?

I have the same model, but about 5 years older. With equipment of this vintage, condition is everything. The price as I see it is anywhere from junk value up to about $350 if it is in really good condition. On mine, the skid rails are worn through, the blades are quite worn, the 3 pt hitch frame is bent, and now since I loaned it to a neighbor, it has a broken u-joint and yoke. If someone came along right now and offered me $100 for it as is, I'd be a fool not to take it.

Book value....I doubt that anything like that exists, and if it does, it is close to meaningless because condition is everything.

I agree with Paul in MN. Brand new 5' one is about $600 or so. I see used ones all the time for about half that. At that price, it's not so much the age, as Paul says, but the condition. If it's in REALLY good shape, $300-$350 is tops. Discount down from there on condition of deck, etc. I've seen brush hogs with bent and/or broken supports, rusted through decks, etc. that people want several hundred dollars for..... and they're still for sale, no wonder.
