finally got some rain., I worked in the rain once it slowed down and picked string beans and yellow squash zucchini and patty pan some onions and cucumbers and a half bushel of new potatoes I went to dietrichs meat market and got some smoked ham hocks and hope to cook them with the string beans. Fawteen, I didnt have my camera so I will get the pictures you wanted next week I cant go to the farm tommorow I am going with my daughter to look at a college.
 
I remember those days of college visitations with each of my three sons. Man, talk about sticker shock!!
Still great days to remember.
 
Ha, how well I remember that. I took my last one to visit just a few short years ago in 06. He said he really liked the place and really wanted to go there so I agreed. Upon returning home and doing the math and almost having a stroke, I explained he would need to find a way to pay his way and suggested graduating valedictorian. He listened and did just that and got a free ride. I always told him it pays to be smart, and he proved it. Below is a picture I took that day of the visit. One more year to go, and then we will see which direction he goes!

Went through that with four children. It is an experience you never forget. The boy had quite a 4-H record so scholarships got him started and then he always had a job and room on campus.

Went thru that with 1 son and 2 daughters. Son has been a RNPA at a Colorado Springs Hospital in the Cardiac ICU for 20 years,Oldest daughter is an Inspecter for the Arizona Dept. of Agriculture.Animal feeds and Seed sales get close scrutiny here.Youngest Daughter is a MA Chemical Engineer for ADM back east.University of ILLinois,Front Range College and LaSalle College got our kids on the right track for a productive life we think.
 
my daughter was in 4h also, It was a great expierience and I think it helped her do well in high school . If more kids could join 4H things might be better It is a great orginization
