ohio has the worst crop ever recorded, some elevators won't even take it.It has some kind of toxin that keeps it from being used as feed or even baking. They knock off 1.60 a bushel to start and it goes down hill from there.A friend of mine got 80 cents a bushel.A local elevator won't buy it at any price.

I've never seen this field look better. It actually is a lot better than the photo, the pics were taken at the edge of the field. It was in beans last year, probably be corn next year.

I was in the Dighton-Garden City Kansas area about ten days ago and the wheat was doing 60-70 average. Sometimes the monitor would spike at 90. After suffering so many dry years they deserve a good crop.

Vomitoxin in wheat or corn makes it poisonous to feed to cattle or hogs. You can run the grain through a grain roaster and it will kill all of the toxin. You just have to get it to above 180 degrees. It is a wonderful feed after being roasted. I buy all I can afford when ever it happens close enough to me to justify the hauling.
