Caught this sat , best walleye I have caught from Upper Iowa river . 6-7 lbs , depending on which scale we used .

Nice walleye, and super perch below. I need to get back to working them walleye over, but, you know what, getting all the gear together, landing the boat, fighting the wind, at my age it is easier to just talk about it. Wife ( who probably caught more walleye than I did as I am always trying something different) got caught too many times in nasty weather. Kind of takes the edge off it. Actually easier to work on a tractor than go fishing anymore.

A few years ago we caught walleyes such as yours regularly at Shabbona Lake in NC ILL.Fished there several times a month during the season.Sure enjoyed that little lake and camp ground.

What's a Walleye? We had a wall-eyed dog once.
Just kidding. No such fish up here in Maine but we do have Pike and Muskies introduced illegally now.... not the same. When traveling out west I make it a point to have Walleye at least once while out there. It sure is yummy! (the dog part is true)

i have a 10.5 pounder mounted in a glass coffee table. was 31.5 inches long. here in mich we have alot of great walleye fisheries.
