I don't know anything about ear corn, but I know you get your fair share of rain in PA. So, do you get much spoilage with an open corn crib like that, with no protection from the weather?
Loved the pics of the barn, with the possible exception of that sickle bar mower- Working on them with my mechanically-challenged father led me to an abiding hate of those things at an early age. First official act when I started haying on my own was to buy a disc mower.
