Kobota B6000 PTO

A friend called and said that he has a Kubota B6000 tractor and the PTO turns counterclock wise. The tractor was originally sold in Canada and then resold in the USA. What has to be done to reverse the PTO direction? Is an external kit available. All help is appreciated.

That was one big oops for that company, wasn't it? Wonder what they were thinking.

Kinda just seems to be a problem, hear about it now & then.

Hub City used to make some reversers & others, but be sitting down when you see prices, if you are able to find one.

Seems best to just trade the thing off to the next city guy who doesn't know about the problem....

Tractor was never made for the us market.. Saw a few of them thru the dealership in early 80s. Like he said Hub city made a reverser gear box around $ 600.00 or so. I actuall scrapped a couple of the addapters a year or so ago because I thought all the 6000 were about gone. Don,t kow where to tell him to look.
