here are some pics of area flooding , they were forwarded to me , not sure whats what . Chain lake , churches ferry , lake Irvine area . DL has been on the rise for years now. reached its highest level. Flows into Stump Lake , which was once an acid slough .Now stump is full and great fishing . Stump will overflow in Tolna damn, which in turn will overflow into the Sheyenne river . Last happened thousands of years ago . Thousands of acres of farmland and homes are now history as DL rises .

Just went thru the flood of a century here in Tenn but it was diffrend backed up in lowlands around the rivers , up there the land is so flat when it comes it covers a lot of acres..
Sorry for your mess, ours stood over 700 acres of 4 in corn for over three days but when it went down the corn is now tasling and looks great. I,m sure we lost some fertlize but so far have a good crop going.
 
Trouble is, this is a flood without an END... Devils Lake is a "closed basin" and the flooding that started in the 90's continues, unabated, today with no signs of ending.

Thanks for the link . Interesting reading . Seems Canada is crying about the west outlet plan . Sure has made Stump Lake a nice place . I spent lot of summers there. My uncle has the concessions there for few years. I ran the roller skating . Garanpa's home farm is right on the Sheyenne river. I don't think I will survive if DL cuts through tolna dam
 
I try to get up there Ice fishing every year or so . Friend owns Case /Ihc dealership . Great fishing if you can stand the cold ! lol
