What is the value of a 55 International Harvester Cub

My husband passed away and left me with the task of getting rid of things. I have an International Harvester Cub made in 1955 according to the serial number. 18771 J. I need to know how much I should ask for this tractor. If anyone has an idea where I can find the value of this cub would appreciate your help very much.

Vickie, you didn't say where you are l;ocated which may make a difference. Here in Missouri those things bring from 1000-2300 based on the condition. If it has a mower with it add 2-300. They generally sell pretty well.
Good luck.......

one for sale here metal looks good paint faded with mower haven't stooped to hear it run but there asking $1500 texas gulf coast

Oh my, That is a lot. Mine does not have a mower and has not been used in a few years. I am sure it will be much less. Thanks so much.

The paint looks ok but the seat will need to be replaced. There is no mower with it. I live in the El Paso TX area. My husband parked the tractor where it is now and it has not been driven in about 5 or 6 yrs.

Vickie, it is tough having to sell of things a person left, but it seems easier if you look at it as finding good homes for things like that tractor. Someone will buy it and get it running again.. So it will have a good home..

My neighbor bought a very nice Farmall Cub complete with good tires, front and rear weights, front snow plow and sickle bar mower for $800 about 18 months ago. It needed a little work but turned out nicely.

I think sometimes that 80% of the cubs sold must have been sold here in Tenn and Ky. Anyway here in Tenn a good running one can be had usually for around $ 800,00 or less. From you last post in a barn and not ran in 4 or 5 years , in these parts around $500.00 or so.. Real big problem is not what it is worth is just who wants it at any price..Most people nowdays want the little compact desiel with power steering.. Good luck and hope this helps. I guess what I am saying if you get an offer you can live with let it go..

Before you try to sell it get somebody you respect and knows something about engines , friend, neighbor, local garage, and get it running. May cost a little but you are likely to be able to sell the tractor for a lot more as a running unit or as non running it will have to be sold as a parts tractor even if all it needs is some fresh gas.

Hello Vickie. I'm in Ohio. I bought a '59 Cub 3 years ago with a mower on it and paid $1800.00 for it. It ran good and looked good. In this area now I wouldn't take $3000.00 for it. MY advice, get it running, Shine it up a little, and when you price it, consider the equipment you have with it, and give yourself a little room to negotiate. Good luck. rw

Saw a unrestored runner sell yesterday for $1050. No attachments.

Ran nice but wasn't restored. Small collector auction.
