Net wrap questions

Installed a new roll of wrap in the 554 XL Vermeer, followed the manual directions, including cleaning the cradle with emery paper. The I think the tension on the rubber rollers and knives is correct, but the wrap still slips in the rollers and won't feed into the baler. Where would I start to correct this?

I was told not to run it over the sreader bar.It makes the net pull to hard.It works fine that way in my 605XL.

Don't forget to rub baby powder on the rubber rolls.It's to keep the stactic electricity down.

Thanks! I was wondering if the spreader bar might be a problem since i could pull the net freely up to that point. I tried cornstarch, but was told by a neighbor today to use talc baby powder. Going to give it a try and see if it works! Appreciate the help!
