My Mom's Brother turned 100 today ,, Although Officially by US govr'nt He will not be 100 til Monday ...seems the TerreHaute Archdiocese was a little lax in recording accurately in 1910 ,,, today, THEY went to church then to IHOP breakfast with friends,, On Way home He noticed his ChrySler VAN (he trusts Chyrsler products all his life ,AND ,YES, HE STILL DRVES VERY WELL ) was steering a little Awkward And resoned he could make it home SAFELY, before the tire went Flat , AND HE DID , I offered to drive to Louisville to change it ,, but My aunt told me They had already called Triple A .. BtWay ,, He and DAD enlisted early in 1942 , Dad went mechanized infantry ..Uncle served in WW2 in the CBs , Because of his heavy German accent , the ARMY higher ups Suggested he TEST to be a spy or work in the CB's for fear other soldiers would prejudice his German Accent , ..My German family roots in AMERICA go back to 1819, But Ferdinand INd is predominantly German even today ,, ...
