Massey Horse power

I have a Massey 165 diesel and am looking at a Howard 54" 3 point tiller. What is the H/P of my Massey and will it handle the tiller

I believe you're probably running about 52 hp. I have a 6'tiller that my 165 runs great without any loss of power. The soil type does make a difference, we have alot of heavy clay soil around here. Just my thoughts Keith

I used a 60 inch tiller on a MF 65, which was about 50 on the pto. I was beating up virgin sod. No problem.

It depends on what model of Howard. If it's one of the newer lighter duty ones, a 165 could tear it up pretty easily. If it's a model E would be a good HD tiller for a 165. Dave
