Looks like a great time was had by all and the Pictures are great. I find the Picture of the old Case on steel interesting. It appears to be of the C and CC era in the '30's but i've never seen one with the distinctive steering system this one possess. Am I wrong but isn,t that a totally different type of seering than what Case Tractors are noted for haveing in that era? The standard tread C was the precuser of the row crop CC which I owned one for many years, which had a side bar steering arm ,same as a DC. There also was a CC3 narrow front and CC4 adjustable wide front models offered for sale by Case. I wonder if what i'm looking at would be the CC3 model of that era?

That is an RC Case; they were built from 1935 to 1941. They had a Waukesha engine. Leon Clausen, Case's President, did not like the tractor but was forced into building it to compete with the F12's and WC Allis Chalmers.

Adirondack case guy Thanks for all of your pictures you post I like them.I have a friend that tossed the towel in last fall on is dairy heard after 40 some years. He lives just out side of Richfield springs. Is that near that show? I need to make the 4 hour trip to see him some day and catch that show at the same time. it looks like a great show. Can you point me in the right direction so I can plan for next year.
and maybe bring my puller to get stomped on by the local native. Thanks Northeast puller

Great pics as usual. I want the little orannge tractor with the dozer blade! I have a zillion uses for something like that.

Appreciate your come back Tom but I still maintain that the Tractor in question has a unique type sterring that no tractor list shows one with an over the hood steering system. You are right ,the R was produced from 1935-1940 and the early ones were unstyled so to speak. 3 models were produced,R-standard tread::RC-Row crop [I've attached a picture of one] :: RO-Orchard. No where can I find a Picture of an RC with Steel wheels ,single front steel and over the hood steering.A strange animal for sure and I'm sure it has a history which would be interesting.JH

Thanks Case Guy
Looks like a great show and J.I.C. was well represented! That truck looks incredable, so compete and original, would like some info on it.
About those over the top steering RCs, my limited resources indicate they were changed to the conventional Case steering after 1936. Some say the reason for the change was because of the mess on the hood from chickens using the steering shaft as a roost. Ha!
Thanks again, Harry
