Solenoid clicks clicks clicks and when ever it feels like it will then engage the starter. I had the solenoid/starter worked on guy said nothing wrong with it. But still wont actuate the starter right off the first. Takes a few clicks of the solenoid before it engages the starter. My 3020 has a key switch and push button start system. Key needs to be turned on and the button pushed along with clutch pushed in to start. Any suggestions?

Check the push button switch out with a volt/ohm meter. Just because it pushes in does not mean it is making electrical connection. Start at the key switch and see what voltage you have there. Should be the same as the battery. If not look for lose or corroded connections. If OK, go to the push button switch. If it checks out go to the neutral starter switch. Then check at the solenoid. Some where in there you have a voltage problem or intermittent open.
