Rats!

Was greasin' the swather yesterday and found a bad bearing.

So, guess I get to drag that silly crimper out from underneath 'er belly; easiest way I know.

Oh, Yippee, sure made my day. :>(

allan, have you used a digital laser thermometer? i picked one up last year from the snap on guy for about 60 dollars, handier than pockets on a shirt. i use it to check bearing temps on the baler and such, and it quickly shows if one is running hot. good on the combine too. also use it when towing a trailer to check wheel bearing temps when i stop for fuel.

Smile,

I know this one is bad 'cause it is completely missing. :>)

Darned thing was cutting just fine when I quit last year too. But oh well, such is life. :>)

Allan don't feel to bad I had a tire blow on my MOCO and then looked down to see most of a bearing out on the lower crimper roller. Bad thing is NH wants $70 or so for the bearing so I'm looking in a good number of other places first
