Summer Solstice Today

Bring it on- we had a high of 55 degrees yesterday, setting another in a long series of records for "Lowest High Temp. on this date". Corn was planted in mid May, during the one short stretch of warm (70 degree) and dry weather we had- its up about 2 inches, and sitting there with the bugs eating it. None of the squash even came up, and about half a crop of beans. Many who didn't till in May are just giving it up for the year. Bah, humbug.
 
You just live to far north. Got up to around 90 here today and then it rained just enough to turn it into a steam bath out side. Boy is it hot and humid out
