So, What I Did Was........

Yesterday, I'm working on my swather......a 1980 model, getting ready to cut some hay. Tuning up the air conditioning, as it were.

Anyhoo, got to thinking maybe I should check that silly cab filter. Oh, did I tell ya that this is a 1980 model? :>)

Pulled the filter out and I might add that it came with a good bit of resistance. Thing weighed a good 30 pounds.

Hope I mentioned that this is a 1980 swather. :>)

After I dug thru the initial 1/4" of caked-on mud, I see the date........ October, 1979. :>)

Yeah, you guessed it. I worked on that goofy thing fer an hour. Cleaned it up with compressed air and put 'er back in. Almost good as new.

Tol' ya I was tight. :>)

Naw,

I was out there breakin' a horse yesterday and didn't want the derned thing in my pocket when-and-if I should suddenly dismount the hard way.

Figured maybe somethin' could get damaged. :>)

We are gettin a little to much gray for that kind of activity !! Bet you were alone to boot !

Yeah,

My wife really chews me out when I do that too. :>(

Think it's in the blood tho.

My Grampa was still breakin' horses at 74.....when he wasn't out chasin' the Mexican ladies and sippin' on that Ol' Crow. :>)

Why do they call it breaking horses?

Should be called breaking cowboys.

Got bucked off when I was about 5. Knocked the wind out of me when I landed flat on my back.

Been afraid of horses since.

When I was a little feller, the "kwel" thing to do was go down the playground slide using wax paper 'cause it made it slick and fast..................and do it standing up.

Same thing happened to me one day; feet got to the bottom before I did. Thought it kilt me fer sure.

Never did go down those silly slides again. :>)
