I am in charge of a grandstand event at our fair.It starts with a parade with each tractor being announced and leads into tractor games.This doesnt have an entry fee and no admission is charged[just fun and entertainment]Heres what i need,tractor jokes for announcer and game ideas Thanks! A good time is the goal

Barrel roll where a barrel is pushed a distance with front wheels, Slow race where the slowest tractor time wins, Blindfolded driver taking tractor thru a course with partner giving directions. Egg relay race.

I have seen a contest where a little red wagon is pulled behind a tractor, the driver of which is blindfolded. They have to make their way through a course of cones for best time with the driver being directed by the passenger, with penalties for cones knocked over. It goes without saying that you need a buffer "clear" area around the course.

Tractor games

1. Bulls eye chain drop:: make two 2 circles on the ground one inside of the other
{like A target} make the center one a lot smaller. Now drag a log chain to the center
By the tractor and put as much log chain as possible in center circle.

2. Barrel roll : lay a barrel on the side and roll from one end of the ring to the other

3. Hay backing: use 2 hay racks and hook them together and back them up as far as you can, you can use one if you wish,

4. The tire drag: hook an old tire to a chain and drag it and stop as close as you can the
Center of a big circle as possible.

5. Tractor race: in first gear only AT IDEL SPEED ONLY and no faster, race from one end to the other and back;

6. EGG RACE: put a raw egg on a plastic spoon, ether hand , get on tractor,1st gear only,
Start the tractor, drive to a hay rack, back up and hook up to the hat racl and get back on the tractor, if you drop the egg you are out.

We have in the past shows done the 4 wheeel farm wagon (short) 2 ways one with the cones starting wide and narrowing at the end to just 3' wider than the wagon and second to back it into a 90 with cones all around. to ag on the big boys find a lady who knows how . also the barrel roll, slow race. the hitching contest. where you back into a odd tite spot into a recever box. all but the slow race is timed. as a crowd activity do a ugly tractor contest. the tractor has to power it's self to the judging area set up and the crowd gathers around and has to be touching the tractor to be counted . with the rule of powering it's self there you won't up set any non perticerpents.

Texas rancher and Iowa farmer sit across from each other at a reception. Texas rancher strikes up conversation with Ia farmer asking how big a spread you-all got up there in Ia.? Ia. farmer says oh we do all right. Ma and me got 160 acres and a few cows. We are able to save up and buy a new chevrolet every 15 years. Next generation should get the farm mortgage paid off. We get along ok. Then the Ia. farmer makes the mistake of asking the Tx. rancher how big of farm you have down there in Tx.? Rancher says well let me put it this way. I can get in my pickup at sun up and drive all day long and I would still be on my property. Ia. farmer says yea, I had a pickup like that once too.

I"d think those slow races would get pretty tiring. At full throttle in low gear and low range my tractor runs only at 7/10ths mph. At idle--I don"t know but to the end of an arena and back would take quite awhile. Great for roto-tilling.

In high gear and high range I"ve had bicycle riders pedal past me. lol

(Ford Compact).

I've never seen one, but a wagon backing contest would be a lot of fun, especially if it was an old tie-rod wagon that was not aligned properly.l

something similar to that would be a barrel race.
this is my suggestion for our next garden tractor plow day.

driver blind folded,
Spouse or another person to guide him .
Take a length of rope to act as reigns, wrap it one time around drivers waist letting two equal lengths.
set up three barrels and run the same route as you would horses. fastest time to start line wins with points removed for back ups , hitting barrels, and for using verbal commands.
Swimming goggles painted black insures driver cant see.
