We're having a drought

WOW!!!! I think we're going into a drought here in S.E. Ohio. It didn't rain yesterday and we only have a 30% chance today, then there is no chance for rain till Saturday night & it's only 30%. Gonna lay some hay down this afternoon with any luck. Fields should be drying up some by then. Keith

Same kind of drought here (WI)(we did have rain yesterday a.m. and last night, though). 30% chance tomorrow and 30% again Monday, though I'm sure their guess will be different by tomorrow. I'd like to mow, but am honestly afraid I'd get stuck.

Its dry here in MD too. Only had one inch of rain in May and only 3/4" so far in June. We may get some later today, but we'll have to wait and see. Hal

It's so dry here we have resorted to furrow irrigation between the corn rows! LOL 5.15 inches of rain the first fifteen days of June. Any rain that falls just runs off because there isn't any place in the ground for it to go!

Today's supposed to be the third day without rain here in SE MN this month (we'll see). It's supposed to start back up tomorrow night though. My ducks and garden are sure a lot happier about it than I am. Think it's too late to plant rice and cranberries?

Same drought set in here in my immediate area---no rain for 24 hours. Other parts of the state getting pocket of heavy rain.

The Arkansas River missed flood stage by about 1¼ feet.

Well, I got 1 field mowed but the grounds a little too wet for the others. Guess I'll just wait till tomorrow & see what happens. Keith

Sure wish there was a way to get some of that drought over our way. We haven't had any rain here in SE AZ in about 3 months. It has been in the 90s with a LOT of wind and I'm afraid I'm working my pump too hard keeping my yard and garden wet.

Greenbean Man - Arkansas river is dry at Lakin and Garden City - but water flowing in Syracuse!!!! Too many irrigation wells

Can you see the smoke from the chiricahua fire richard? We are getting real dry up here by wickenburg. Saw a road side burn area between wickenburg and aguila on US 60 the other day. probably a discarded cigarette. Desert under brush is all browned up and the grease wood has a snap to it when bent so it is dry to. If a fire did get started it would travel so far and so fast a fire line would have to be established 10 miles in front of it. Hope we don't see any of that action this summer and fall.JH

No: Most of them are going back after delivering there pack of Mexican brown. There is no work for transcients here right now.Not much for legal workers ,white and brown. I'm looking at the construction industry when I say that. don't have a clue what goes on behind closed doors.News has a report of Smugglers about every day. Most of those caught are packing Mary Jane to the north to satisfy the needs of the druggies here in the U S of A.
