Burnie knee up-date

After 3 months the leg brace is off. Feels unbleivable being back in work jeans & boots again. Leg is still very weak now I've got some work ahead building it up.
Even better news is that I gave my daugther her first driving lesson on a friend's farm. Great father daugther time. She did really well, I'm teaching her on a stick shift from the start so she won't have any trouble with autos, or tractors.

A few years ago I bought a "Wick Stick" at a farm show. It's made of PVC with a small fiber synthetic rope (marine dock line) about 10" long for applying the Roundup.

I bought it for canadian thistles but for whatever reason, I've not used it but have been told by others that it works well for manual application. It would be easy and inexpensive to make one.

I do not have a photo at this time but could take one and email it to you.

Yep I understand the knee brace I have a pair of them for both my knees and have to use them on and off or I do not walk.
As for the daughter thing yep understand that and that is why I got the boy a motorcycle many years ago and he learned the drive a stick shift by way of that bike. Buy I also created a monster by getting him a bike now he wants to always have one. Oh well such is life

I'm glad your knee is better. It'll take a little time to get back to where you were . It's great that you are having the time with your daughter. It's a great idea to teach her on a stick shift at first. She will always be able to drive one if the need or desire arises. It's a great time for father-daughter bonding. Just be patient....LOL.
