Sealed beam spot light/ tail light replacement bulb.

Has anybody attempted to use a 100 watt 4409X sealed beam light in place of the obsolete 35 watt 4428 sealed beam bulb? This is in a two way Guide brand spot light/tail light on a Case 530. The 100 watt 4409X boulb seems to be my only option for a replacement, but I"m being told that It will draw on the electrical system too much. I"m not much of an electrician, so does anybody know if this will work or not?

It may work OK, but also may generate more heat than the fixture can tolerate. Another consideration is that it will draw three times the current of the old light and may be more than your wiring can handle.

That thing is going to draw a little over 9 amps. so you figure it out. That is about 750,000 candle power.
