to 30 pto remove

still fighting with the ferguson, question is pump removal,.thought the easiest way to cut pto shaft was to remove the plate below the pump and cut with a sawsall, is the pump molded into the plate on the bottom ? removed all the bolts and the pump won't let the pan down,..how do i cut the pto shaft off down in there ??

Never worked on a Fregie. But I think they are a lot like the Ford Ns. You will have to remove the top cover and get at it that way.

got the s.o.b. out, went through the left side hole for pto lever, can squeeze a sawsall in and cut the shaft,split the tractor, then dropped the pump, cut the shaft again on other side of pump and just like that you have it,..LOL ..... still never found the problem splines looked good and straight, must not take much to bind them up,...all that for a lousey seal...
