My grand daughter graduated High School last night. Honors student, vice president of her class. Sure am proud of her. Guess that means no more trips to the cross country state finals though, unless her sister gets in gear and gets as fast as she was.

Obammy was making a spectical of the Kalamazoo Central graduation just 35 miles down the road at the same time by the way. I'm just glad the Battle Creek graduation was about the acomplishments of the kids, not a political stunt by a Chicago politician.

Congrats to the granddaughter. Especially the honors. Had to work for them, I"m sure. As far as the Kzoo fiasco, well said rr.

Congratulations to yours and you. This is an accomplishment for these youngsters that will live with them for ever. Something to be very proud of. Not to steal your thread but here is our grand daughter on her very proud night at Wickenburg Az. High School with her very proud grand parents by her side..JH

Congratulations and best of luck to the grandchildren. And if I can give some advice? If at all possible, further that education while studying and learning is still fresh on the mind, especially since its going to take a couple or few years to clean up what's going on now, so that there will possibly be jobs for them to look forward to. Good luck, keep the noses to the grind stones for a couple of years more.

Battle Creek, eh? You know, a few years back a lady that I was dating came up with this idea to head up to Battle Creek one day to watch the balloons sail or race. OK, watch balloons sail so long as it kept me in good graces with her, if you know what I mean. So we went there, I think at the airport because I've kind of forgotten where exactly, and they had balloons all right. I mean to tell you that they had the biggest dang balloons I've ever seen, and lots of them. They were shaped like Tony The Tiger, and about every Kelloggs charactor there was, and then plenty of others that weren't. Holy cow, that was interesting and certainly worth the time. I understand that it was or is an annual thing. I had a real good time there, and afterwards if you know what I mean.

Yep,she's already accepted at Western Michigan where she wants to study journalism.

Battle Creek has quite an air show 4th of July weekend. Blue Angels and the whole works.

The football coach that's been there for 38 years was the speaker at their graduation. He got in some good digs, including his top 10 list of why it was better to be there than in Kalamazoo last night.

Congratulations. Remember a couple of old sayings. You can not put a value on education. And, an education is something no one can take away from you.

Somehow, I don't think rrlund would be the one to invite our current Buffoon-in-Chief to his grandaughter's graduation.

There was a nationwide contest to determine what high school would be blessed with the presence of the grand exalted one for their commencement. Kalamazoo Central lost and had to take him.
