Henry .22 lever actions

My boy has one. It is a fun little gun to shoot. The only problem is that the sights are too wide and block too much of the sight picture. They are fairly cheap.

If it was cheap its not a henry, them things are spendy for just being a 22. Brother had the large loop lever one, pretty sweet, but way too spendy for my wallet!! Bob

I looked at the Henry lever .22 sold at Wally World, and I wasn't impressed...the forearm looked cheap, like something you'd find on a bargain-basement Daisy BB gun.

I was hot to buy one but I guess the receiver is aluminum/pot metal? Not my idea of long lived. My buddy has the golden boy brass one. Its cool but too nice to shoot and beat around. If I ever get serious about a lever 22 I'll look for a marlin? More expensive though.

My mother has one. Its OK for a .22 I guess. I've shot it a few times. Its accurate and cleans easy. Forget how many rounds it holds. 10? I forget. Mom seems to like it just fine. She likes her .410s too. One single shot junior model, one pump. She's in her late 70's and all are easy for her to shoot and none of them kick.

Bought on about 3 yrs ago and have popped some bunnies with it. I am totally satisfied with it. It is just the basic economy model .22 lever action.

I have a Marlin Golden 39A I think it is ? I really liked it and it shot right on the money too. Haven't used it in many years though.

My cousin has one, I am not a fan. I got spoiled shoot'n an old Browning lever 22 years ago at a kids camp I worked at in college. I have shot with my cousin several times, my 10/22 will shoot tighter groups than the henry any day with any ammo.

He may have just got a lemmon.

I have the frontier model. I don't like the front sights on the cheaper model H001. BiMart has those for $229.87 this week.

I paid $329 and change for the frontier model. I also have the pump model. I have used them for Cowboy Action Shooting but they definately are not as good as my old Winchesters. I really enjoy the lever action rifles.
