Leyland 272 No Hydraulics. I pulled the Leyland 272 out of the shed after sitting for the Winter and the hydraulics won't lift anything. I don't hear the pump engaging at all. No 3-point and no auxillary. I'll take suggestions on where to look and what to try.

I did check the oil level on the case and it is up to where it should be.

It sounds to me like maybe it lost its prime, if its not a positive head suction you may need to loosen the discharge line to burp the air out.

you could try this link:

Does the PTO operate? it"s possible that the pto clutch has failed, or possible the pump is shot... Just out of interest, did the oil look normal, or was it milky, i"m wondering if there is water in the oil (a common thing on these tractors) and that maybe there was enough water in the oil to damage the pump is the temperature fell below freezing...

you got it in gear half way is hyd and three point all the way is also pto is pto clutch in gear ? some park them in the out position so they don.t rust to fly wheel

Could be many things. Having a factory fault chart for a 270, first try to hear the relief valve blowing. We can go from there.

The oil looks clean and not milky. The tractor is always parked in the shed and out of the weather. I can try to burp the line tomorrow. The tractor is being stored at my father"s place.
