just talked to a tire shop about loading tires with calcium,..they said they did not put tubes in but just pumped fluid into tubeless tire,..said as long as the fluid came over the rim it would not rust,...anyone ever hear that before ?????

I have taken apart many fluid filled tires that were mounted tubless. Almost all of them had rusty rims, some were so bad the rim had to be replaced. If you put anything in there water based, the rim will eventually rust.

It/s amazing where things will rust. I put meat grinder plates in a sealed jar full of vegtable oil, month later whent to use them and they were all rusted (go figure)

Use tubes or do not use CACL in them because if you do not use tubes sooner or later you will be buy rims for it and probably before the tires wear out. Sounds like a lazy tire guy to me.
