johnedeere 2840 hydraulic problems

have 2840 with bushhog loader.when tractor is warmed up and using equipment loader hydraulics chatter and work very slow until it is extended all the way up and bucket curled .then after using equipment it does the same thing.

Always been this way or just started?
Open or closed center control valves?
Where is the loader oil supplied from on the tractor and returns where into the tractor?

If it has ind loader control valve my first guess is valve is open-center or a convertible open-center to closed-center and has blown an o-ring causing valve to revert back to open-center. Remove return line crank engine with control levers in neutral and if oil pours out of return line you've found your problem.

just a word of caution if you remove return line and it goes back to filter cover (and it should ) plug the line or trans pump will pump out hose, but then that maybe problem trans pump not pumping enough, stopped up screen or filter ..blown pto rings hi lo problems or the line to front pump cracking inside trans... just some of problem areas

Thanks for mentioning to plug opening on hyd filter that I left out. You are very correct in the many other places that can cause hyd problems on a 2840 and other JD utility tractors.
