ARRRGH! Afternoon showers all week!

Just looked at the forecast for my area. A chance of thunderstorms all the way up to Thursday evening. I guess I won't be working any hay this week. We've done very well the last several years getting a first cutting the week before Memorial day. It was always dry for several days and reasonably warm. Not this year, I guess.

Starting next week, we have our 19th wedding anniversary and three different birthdays in less than a week and a half. Not really a good week to be on the road trying to get hay in, but there you are.

How is it where you are?

Christopher

I'll trade you our high wind warning and tornado watch that we have every day for your showers.

Very dry. We normally get 5+ inches in May in the Dallas area. Weatherman said we got 1.

Hay field is looking very odd. Some patches of bermuda are 18 inches tall, others barely six.

After soil test, put out 3000 lbs 21-7-14 (7.5 acres) and some places are nice dark green, others yellow, but no streaking as if the fertilizer was uneven.

Have a 60% chance for rain on Wed. Hope we get it.

30% chance of rain here every day this week. hot and very humid today and a good part of the week. im about 50 miles from st paul MN in wisconsin we're already cutting hay at work and chopping.

Been rainy the past week in western Washington, weekend was supposed to be nice but continued to rain- Today supposed to be good, then another week of rain. So I guess I've got a date with a couple of overgrown lawns after work tonight.

A couple of guys snuck off a cutting of hay about 2 weeks ago, but there will be none in the forseeable future.

Central NY. The big dairies started chopping a week ago. Early heat has pushed hay way ahead.
I finished spraying, hoping for the weekend showers which didn't materialize.
Now we have a haymakers dream week- clear all week!

Chris, you can blame me for the rain I cut hay yesterday and you know what always happen the first time some one cuts hay they then call for rain. I only cut an area about 12 foot wide around the front field so I do not have much down and looks like it might be dry enough to bale late today or if it doesn't rain tomorrow

Just going to the hay field after I eat lunch. Have 13 acres of clover and grass to bale this afternoon. I though 13 would be lucky to start the season out with. Cut it Friday and wish I would have cut more.

Raining as I type in SC, 4 PM Eastern time. Not enough lately to do much good, just interfere with hay cutting. There is a low developing off the SE coast, we are getting rain from the east which is unusual.
