i think most Muir Hills were based on a Ford 5000 skid unit...having said that i couldn"t tell you where the filter is on one of those either... it might be worth an ask on the Ford board...

i found out that the filter in underneath the cover that houses the rock shaft for the 3 point hitch . since it is an open center hydraulic system i am going to plumb an external filter into the system
