Farmall 200 - timing gear and crank????

Ate the timing gear, and governor gear... Know those can be replaced, but the gear on the end of crank is showing wear, and probably needs replacement too... Is this gear removable from the crank, or is it a permament part of the crank?

Anyone got a source for recyclable timing gear and governor?

I would think the bigger question may be WHY did it eat the gears? In my B farmall I lost gear teeth because the little thrust bearing on the end of the governor shaft lost it's balls and they fell down into the gears and broke teeth off. This could be an issue with yours also . I got my new gears ordered through a local mechanic cost about $150 or so for all three gears.

Best way to re,ove the crank gear is heat and it will slide rite off same way to install. Engine mite be noisy after all new gears are installed. So when you get it running and hear a grinding type of sound its the new geaars.

If the heat doesn't help in getting the timing gear off you may need to pull the cam and gear and have a shop press it off and a new one on. Hal

You need to check your damper pulley for a groove worn by the old seal. If it has a groove
they have speedi-sleeve kits that cover the worn area and I think you get a new seal too. Hal
