I was at the local garden center here in NJ mostlty just looking around and grabbed a few hot pepper varietys that I didnt have. I saw something there and when I saw them I imediatly thought of old and some of the other guys on this site. They had large tomatoe plants individual in pots . 7.99 each 7.99 for one tomatoe plant I was wondering what old would say to that! It was not a patio tomatoe they where varietys like beefsteak, celebrity, etc That would be some expensive crop before you even start.

There's a perfectly good explaination why the charge that much for 'em....

'Cause some people will PAY that much for 'em.

I save seed and grow my own plants. Paying ANYTHING is too much for my taste.

Dan Quayle was not wrong, only the abundant news media was wrong. POTATOE is one of the accepted ways to spell POTATOE according to a dictionary I have. Its the Century Dictionary, copyright date 1914 , and it contains more than 7000 pages so it is pretty thorough.

Wal-Mart had them sort of like that but at $12 plus each and I pass them up big time. Don't need them any ways since I have 25 out in the garden right now and I think I have a few more in pots. didn't count the pepper plants but have a number of hot ones plus sweet and pamito peppers. Have one zucchini that is about 4 inches long and about as big around as your thumb. Also just got 5 8 ball zucchini plants yesterday that I need to set out or should I say MUD in. We got another 3/4 of an inch last night and it is raining right now

What's wrong with you? The only CORRECT way to spell words is the AMERICAN way!

We're the only country on the planet, don't ya know?
